Erratum 1: PN program

The PN program is divided into three “semesters” not “levels.”

Note: Learners whose Program Plan differs from this standard plan must complete SCI 225: Pathophysiology in the second academic semester of enrollment at the College to progress within the Program. Learners must complete the core nursing courses with experiential learning components within a maximum timeframe of six (6) consecutive academic semesters.

Erratum 2: Course Kits and VR Headsets 

Although learners in the courses listed in the Catalog will receive course kits, the PN program does not include VR headsets in the kits. The Catalog is updated to restrict VR headset recipients to BSN and ASN learners only.

In-Catalog modification: 

Learners in the BSN and ASN programs will receive their virtual reality (VR) headset with their kits when they begin their first experiential learning course. Learners will receive only one VR headset for the entirety of their program they are enrolled in.

Erratum 3: MSN 582 hours

The total number of hours is updated.

* Please note that these courses do not guarantee licensure and that the College maintains its position that the curriculum met the conditions of published regulations before these changes were made. These changes provide a path for graduates to address the requirements currently being applied by the BRN rather than requiring them to wait for the legal process.

Summer Erratum

Erratum 1: LPN to ASN Program Sample Curriculum Plan

In the LPN to ASN Program Sample Curriculum Plan, MAT 120 was listed as a course in Freshman Semester 1. This has been corrected to MAT 100.

Erratum 2: Fees 

In the LPN-to-ASN and BSN Tuition and Fee tables, we stated that the Welcome Kit Fee is assessed with the first nursing course. This has been corrected. The Welcome Kit Fee is assessed with the first experiential learning (EL) course.

MSNEd Program Sample Curriculum Plan

Field Experience (FE): Provides opportunity for the learner to apply all elements of prior learning in academic settings, while beginning the transition into the nurse educator role. The learner integrates knowledge, clinical reasoning, and program competencies while implementing best teaching practices and assimilating into the nurse educator role in an academic environment. The learner works directly with a Master’s-prepared nurse educator preceptor to incorporate evidence-based strategies into a comprehensive activity or teaching plan designed to engage learners in active learning and implemented to meet mutually determined outcomes.
