Admissions

Learner Re-Entry

There are two paths to re-entry available to you:

Traditional Re-Entries

The deadline to complete the re-entry process is typically twelve weeks prior to the start of the semester before you wish to return. During the re-entry process you will be required to be cleared by the Bursar for any outstanding balance with Nightingale College.

Short Term Re-Entries

If you've withdrawn voluntarily, plan to return within one year, and are in good financial standing, and do not wish to submit any new transcripts or take any admissions placement exams, you may qualify for this accelerated and simplified re-entry process. The deadline for this process is typically six weeks prior to the start of the semester before you wish to return.

Please note: your Nightingale accounts (Canvas, Outlook, etc.) will be deactivated after 20 weeks with no activity. To maintain access please log in once every 20 weeks.  Once your account has been deactivated you will have to submit an AIT Support ticket for reactivation.

  • Learners who have attempted but have not passed a core nursing course after 3 attempts are not eligible to return to the same program but may be eligible for another lesser degree or program if available in their area.
  • Learners who have attempted but have not passed a general education course after 3 attempts may take that course elsewhere and transfer it into Nightingale to be eligible to return to the same program.
  • Learners are only allowed three enrollments per program (original enrollment plus two re-entry attempts). After three attempts you may transfer to a lesser degree program if available.
  • If one (1) year has passed since your last date of attendance, you will be required to pay a new application fee, retake the entrance exam, and retake any applicable placement exams.
