Access Without Compromise

Nightingale College expands access to nursing education through a distance-learning model designed to fit learners’ lives. Online coursework, guided support, and required in-person experiences help learners pursue or advance their nursing careers while balancing work, family, and other responsibilities.

Flexible

Online coursework and a distance learning model help expand access for learners across different locations and life circumstances.

Designed with Rigor

Programs are built with concept-based curriculum, virtual reality/simulation, supervised on-ground field experiences (SOFEs), and academic coursework. All programs are designed to develop the clinical reasoning, critical thinking, decision-making, and practical skills required for nursing practice.

How Nightingale's Curriculum Works

Nightingale’s prelicensure programs combine online coursework, hands-on skills practice, VR simulation, and supervised in-person clinical experiences.

Learn Online

Didactic coursework is delivered online synchronously and asynchronously through structured semesters. While learners complete some work independently, courses include deadlines, faculty interaction, and real-time activities, depending on the course.

Concept-based curriculum helps learners connect nursing concepts across different patient situations and build clinical reasoning.

Apply Learning in Clinical Experiences

Supervised on-ground field experiences (SOFEs) give learners the opportunity to apply previously studied theories, skills, and clinical reasoning in healthcare environments.

VR headset

Practice with Skill Kits and VR

Course-specific skill kits are shipped directly to learners for remote skills practice and checkoffs.

Learners also use Nightingale-developed VR simulations to repeat realistic patient-care scenarios, practice decisions, strengthen clinical reasoning, and build confidence before applying those skills in real-life clinical settings.

Learn with Faculty and Get Support

Learners receive ongoing faculty feedback and guidance through course discussions, real-time activities, and other academic touchpoints.

Academic coaching and learner support resources also are available to help learners understand expectations, overcome challenges, and stay on track.

Supported Through the Challenge.

Nursing school is demanding. Nightingale’s model is designed for learners balancing education with work, family, and other responsibilities by providing educational opportunities outside an on-campus environment.

Flexibility with Structure

Online coursework gives learners flexibility in where and when they study, while structured semesters, deadlines, real-time activities, and required SOFEs also ensure the program is rigorous and accountable.
