Peer Comparators
In alignment with NWCCU Standards 1.B.2 and 1.D.2, Nightingale College has identified both regional and national peer institutions to provide meaningful context for evaluating institutional effectiveness and student achievement. Peer institutions were selected based on similarity in mission, sector, institutional focus, and degree offerings, with additional consideration given to geographic context for regional peers. The institution uses these peer groups consistently for planning, assessment, and benchmarking of outcomes. The student achievement indicators selected for peer comparison—retention, placement, and licensure—are used to assess institutional effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
Notes and Data Source Clarifications
- Licensure pass rates are drawn from publicly available institutional disclosures, state board reports, and third-party compilations.
- Retention rates reflect institution-specific definitions (semester, annual, or cohort-based).
- Placement outcomes reflect employment within six months to one year post-graduation and may exclude continuing education or military service.
Outcome data reflect the most recent publicly available reporting periods (2024–2026).
Ranges are used where institutions report results by campus, cohort, or program.
This exhibit is intended to provide contextual peer benchmarking and does not imply
uniform data definitions across institutions.
