Virtual Simulations

Nightingale College uses VR headsets to help learners build confidence and become more comfortable in clinical settings by putting classroom concepts into action. Developed in-house, our AI-enhanced simulations create unique, repeatable experiences that help learners build muscle memory, strengthen clinical reasoning, and reach mastery faster.

Labs

Develop hands-on nursing skills through a series of at-home lab experiences supported by mailed lab kits. Learners practice course-specific skills such as wound care, IV therapy, and suturing to build confidence before applying them in clinical settings.

Nightingale College partners with healthcare associates across Utah and the nation to provide supervised on-ground field experiences (SOFEs) for BSN learners. You will apply the theories and skills you learn through online didactic instruction in real-world nursing situations under the supervision of Nightingale College faculty.

Clinical experiences are conveniently located throughout Utah, including Logan, Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, and St. George. Please note that the College cannot guarantee a specific clinical site, schedule, faculty placement, or geographic location.

The Capstone Project: Leadership at Work »

The Capstone Project: Leadership at Work

Through our BSN Program’s Capstone Project, learners begin to apply the skills and knowledge they gain during their coursework while they are still in school. Every BSN learner is required to complete a Capstone Project during their time at Nightingale College.

Learners will select an employer-focused topic and identify potential proposal topics, such as the importance of handwashing, tactics to reduce patient falls, and methods to reduce medication errors by nurses.

Nightingale College provides access to a full-time NCLEX success coach who works with learners one-on-one and in group training sessions to help them prepare for the NCLEX-RN exam.

Can I become an RN in Utah through this BSN?

Nightingale College's BSN Program is designed to meet the educational requirements for RN licensure in Utah. Graduates must also pass the NCLEX-RN® and meet Utah's other licensure requirements. See our Professional Licensure Disclosures page for details.
Will I complete clinicals in Utah, and where?

Our SOFE areas are in Logan, Salt Lake City-Ogden, Provo, and St. George. However, specific placement locations and schedules are not guaranteed, and some learners may still need to travel depending on assignment needs.
How does the Utah Tuition Reduction Credit work?

Beginning Summer Semester 2026, eligible Utah residents enrolled in Nightingale College’s BSN Program may receive a $205-per-credit tuition reduction, for a potential total reduction of up to $24,600 across 120 eligible credits. To qualify, learners must document at least 12 consecutive months of Utah residency before the semester begins, be enrolled in the BSN Program, and remain continuously enrolled through completion.

Summer 2026 foundational learners must enter the BSN Program by Fall Semester 2026 to remain eligible.

The reduction applies only to tuition and not to program fees or other non-tuition costs. It is not retroactive for courses completed before Summer Semester 2026, cannot be combined with other internal scholarships, waivers, or SOFE partner tuition benefits, and does not replace external scholarships or third-party awards. The College reviews eligibility, and the pilot is subject to annual review and continued approval.
What nursing career opportunities are available in Utah?

BSN-prepared nurses may pursue opportunities in hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, community health organizations, public health agencies, and specialty care settings. Utah's healthcare employers continue to seek qualified nurses across a variety of care environments, from major health systems to community-based organizations.
How long does the BSN Program take?

Nightingale College’s BSN Program can be completed in as few as 32 months and is designed for eight academic semesters.
Can I transfer credits into the BSN Program?

Yes. Nightingale College welcomes transfer credits from eligible accredited institutions. Our admissions team will review your previous coursework to determine which credits may apply toward your degree requirements. Transferring eligible credits may help reduce the number of courses needed to complete your BSN and keep you on track toward graduation. At Nightingale, up to 72 credits can be transferred.
Is Nightingale College's BSN Program accredited in Utah?

Yes. The baccalaureate nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and Nightingale is institutionally accredited by NWCCU.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition for the BSN program is $655 per semester credit.

Tuition does not include the nonrefundable application fee of $150. The College reserves the right to change its tuition and fees at any time, with a 30-day notice.

A tuition waiver of $55 per semester credit will be applied to the accounts of the College’s BSN and RN-to-BSN graduates when tuition is charged and awarded after graduation. There are also additional fees for some courses in the BSN Program. A current schedule of these fees can be found in the College Catalog.

All financial arrangements must be made prior to the first day of class, and learners must meet all financial aid requirements at the time of graduation for release of transcripts, diploma, and participation in the commencement ceremony. Terms and Conditions: Utah Tuition Reduction Credit
Effective Summer Semester 2026

1. Overview

Nightingale College is piloting a tuition reduction of $205 per credit hour (up to $24,600 for 120 eligible credits) for Utah residents, subject to annual review and continued approval by the College. This reduction reflects the College’s commitment to expanding access to nursing education in the state of Utah. 

2. Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Utah Tuition Reduction Credit, Utah learners must meet the following criteria:
- Residency:</span >Beginning with Summer Semester 2026, provide documented proof of Utah residency for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the start of the semester. The College will review and verify documentation proving residency.
- Enrollment: Be enrolled in the BSN Program as of Summer Semester 2026.
- Continuous Enrollment: Maintain continuous enrollment from Summer Semester 2026 until completion of the BSN Program, except for College-approved accommodations under applicable federal law.
Eligibility will be determined and verified in accordance with institutional policy by a learner funding advisor. Learners may request a review if eligibility is denied.

3. Terms for New Learners or New Foundational Learners

This section applies to learners who begin their BSN Program or their foundational course work in preparation for their BSN Program in Summer Semester 2026:
- The Utah Tuition Reduction Credit will be applied each semester from the start of the BSN Program until completion, provided eligibility is maintained.
- Learners must remain continuously enrolled to retain the reduction. Summer Semester 2026 foundational learners must be enrolled in the BSN Program by Fall Semester 2026 to qualify for the tuition reduction.
- This pilot program is not guaranteed to continue beyond the initial implementation period. Future continuation will depend on institutional review of program outcomes and strategic alignment and will NOT affect current learner eligibility once established.
4. Terms for Continuing Learners

This section applies to learners who are already enrolled in the BSN Program prior to Summer Semester 2026:
- The Utah Tuition Reduction Credit will be applied beginning in Summer Semester 2026 and will continue through the remainder of the learner’s program, provided eligibility is maintained.
- Courses completed prior to Summer Semester 2026 are not eligible for retroactive reduction.
- Learner Graduation Fund awards previously earned for credits completed before Summer Semester 2026 will remain unaffected. Learners who receive the Utah Tuition Reduction Credit for specific credits will not receive a Learner Graduation Fund award for those same credits upon program completion.
5. Additional Conditions
- Program Fees: The reduction credit does not apply to program fees or other nontuition costs. This reduction does not alter a learner’s federal financial aid eligibility, cost of attendance (COA), or refund calculations under Title IV regulations.
- Short-Term Reentries (STREs): Utah learners who reenter the BSN Program in Summer Semester 2026 and meet all eligibility criteria are eligible for the reduction, provided all other conditions are met.
- Scholarships: Learners may not combine this institutional reduction with other internal scholarships, waivers, or SOFE partner tuition benefits. External scholarships or third-party awards remain unaffected.
