2025 Commencement Celebration
2025 Commencement Celebration
Fall (December) 2024 through Summer (August) 2025 graduates*, you are invited to attend:
Nightingale College’s Commencement Celebration 2025
Mountain America Exposition Center
9575 South State St., Sandy, UT 84070
Friday, August 29, 2025, 2 p.m. Mountain Time (MT)
The Commencement Celebration is your opportunity to walk across the stage and celebrate your achievements as a Nightingale College graduate in front of family and friends. The ceremony will include remarks by a guest speaker, walking across the stage, and the turning of the tassel. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
An optional Pinning Ceremony will be held two hours prior at noon Mountain Time (MT) at the Mountain America Exposition Center.
This celebration is separate from the commencement ceremony, which is held virtually each semester for graduating cohorts. Because the conferral of degrees and lighting of the lamp take place during the virtual commencement ceremony, these will NOT be part of the in-person Commencement Celebration. We understand that different elements of each ceremony may be important to different learners. You are welcome to attend either the in-person Commencement Celebration, the virtual commencement ceremony for your graduating cohort, or both.
The Commencement Celebration will be broadcast online.
*Please note:
- Spring 2025 or Summer 2025 Graduates who are still completing their preceptorship hours may still attend.
- Learner-led graduations are not official College events. If you are interested in attending these ceremonies, please contact the learners organizing them.
New Venue Information
We are excited that this change allows us to include more graduates and their family members in the Commencement Celebration. Because the new venue is farther from the downtown Salt Lake City area, we'll add helpful transportation and accommodation information soon!
Important notes:
- The new venue's main space is large enough to accommodate graduates and guests. Guests will not be required to watch the ceremony in a separate room.
- The reception that follows the ceremony will take place in a secondary space.
- As before, an optional pinning ceremony will be held two hours prior. Graduates may only bring the person pinning them to the nurse pinning ceremony – no additional guests are allowed.
- The time and date of both ceremonies are unchanged.
- We have extended the registration deadline to June 7 for both previously registered and currently unregistered graduates.
Registration/Ticket Information
- If you've already registered for graduation, you'll receive an email soon. You may add additional guests until June 7.
- We will email registered graduates after the registration period closes if additional tickets become available.
- If you haven't registered yet, you may register yourself and your guests until June
7.
Learners should register their guests when registering themselves. - Currently, the maximum number of guests is six (6).
- Children age 3 and under do not need tickets if they sit on the lap of an adult.
- If your plans change after registration and you are unable to attend, please email us (graduation@nightingale.edu) so we can make your tickets available to other guests.
