Nightingale College’s PN Program Receives Accreditation from the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
PN program granted accreditation through March 2028
Announced today, December 22, 2022, The Practical Nursing (PN) program offered via distance education at Nightingale College is accredited by the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) located at 2600 Virginia Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20037. 202-909-2487.
Following a site visit in March 2022, NLN CNEA granted program accreditation through March 31, 2028. The site visit team noted Nightingale College met all five of NLN CNEA’s Standards for Accreditation, essential to providing a national and global quality assurance framework through which nursing programs of all types, including distance education programs, can act to implement and achieve excellence in nursing education.
The PN Program prepares learners to apply for PN licensure and take the NCLEX-PN® exam. The program also prepares graduates for entry-level practical nursing practice in long-term care facilities, clinics, and other health care settings.
Nightingale College offers several pathways for entry into and continued progression within the nursing profession: a practical/vocational nursing (PN) diploma program, a generic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, bridge programs for LPN-to-ASN and RN-to-BSN learners, and the Education (MSN Ed) and Family Nurse Practitioner tracks (MSN FNP) in its Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.
