Nightingale College is proud to announce it has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Best Employee Wellbeing Program Award by HR.com, recognizing its exceptional commitment to fostering a culture of well-being among its collaborators. This accolade highlights the college’s innovative and comprehensive wellness program, which has earned a remarkable 4.9 out of 5 rating from 231 employees.
HR.com, the largest network of human resources (HR) executives, recognized outstanding achievements in HR and leadership at a special ceremony on March 12th in Oakland, California.
The award reflects the college’s dedication to creating a wellness program rooted in the Eight Dimensions of Wellness—physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, environmental, spiritual and financial. By tailoring resources to meet the unique needs of its collaborators, Nightingale College has established itself as a leader in workplace wellness.
A Holistic Approach to Wellness: Nightingale College’s wellness program is designed to nurture every aspect of an individual’s life. Key initiatives include:
Mental and Emotional Health: First Stop Health provides immediate access to counseling and short-term therapy, while the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers long-term therapy options and mental health resources.
Financial Wellness: Collaborators benefit from personalized financial coaching through Your Money Line and the innovative Earned Wage Access (EWA) program, which allows early access to earned pay. The college recently raised the minimum hourly wage to $25 for all employees.
Physical Vitality: The program includes certified yoga classes, Zumba sessions, and the Personify Health platform, with plans to expand in 2025 through the Wellbeats Fitness Platform.
Holistic Practices: From Reiki and sound therapy, to gratitude journaling and meditation workshops, the program inspires balance and inner peace.
Engagement and Innovation
The program’s success is reflected in its consistently high engagement rates, which exceed 70% across various initiatives, surpassing industry benchmarks of 50–60%. Signature offerings, including Lunch & Learns, Wellness Workshops and themed series, have become cornerstones of the college’s wellness culture.
In 2023, program enrollment grew from 67.76% in Q1 to 77.67% by Q4, peaking at 82.50% in Q3 2024. This growth underscores the program’s ability to adapt and innovate, ensuring it remains relevant and impactful.
Lessons Learned and Future Growth
Nightingale College’s wellness journey has been marked by continuous learning and improvement. Key takeaways include the importance of variety, flexibility and a holistic approach to well-being. Collaborators have responded enthusiastically to initiatives that prioritize mental and emotional health, and small gestures of recognition that boost morale.
Looking ahead, the college plans to introduce individualized well-being plans, 6- to 8-week group coaching programs and innovative wellness experiences such as virtual mindfulness environments and themed self-care boxes. A new wellness committee and community-led wellness groups will further strengthen the program’s impact.
A Culture of Wellness
“At Nightingale, wellness isn’t just a program—it’s a culture, an ethos and a testament to our love and care for our collaborators,” said Mikhail Shneyder, Nightingale Education Group president. “This award reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a workplace where each individual feels supported, empowered and inspired to thrive.”
As Nightingale College continues to evolve its offerings, it will continue enhancing the well-being of its collaborators and setting a benchmark for wellness programs nationwide.
