Kimberly MacPherson named incoming chair of Nightingale Education Group’s board of managers
SALT LAKE CITY (September 12, 2024) – Nightingale Education Group, a nationwide provider of nursing education and workforce development, is proud to announce Kimberly MacPherson as incoming chair of its board of managers. MacPherson will succeed Charles Cook as chair upon the completion of his term.
MacPherson brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare innovation, workforce development, and higher education. She currently holds multiple faculty roles at the University of California, Berkeley, including executive director of health management and distinguished teaching fellow at the Haas School of Business. MacPherson is also the director of the health policy and management MPH programs at the School of Public Health, and co-director of the Berkeley Center for Health Technology, where her work centers on health system strategy and technology.
MacPherson recently completed a 12-year term on the board of trustees at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, serving as board chair during the hospital's successful acquisition. She holds master's degrees in business administration and public health from UC Berkeley and earned her bachelor's degrees from UC Davis.

MacPherson will guide Nightingale’s strategy as it expands nursing education and workforce development initiatives. Her board term began Aug. 1, 2024, and she will assume the role of chair on Jan. 1, 2025.
