Individual Contributor

Contributes to the College’s mission fulfillment through excellence in their role as measured by their KPIs. Aligns their efforts to the College’s Mission Atlas elements: Strategic Themes, SWOT, and MFM.

Supervisor & Manager

Contributes to the College’s mission fulfillment through excellence in their role as measured by their KPIs. Aligns their efforts to the College’s Mission Atlas elements: Strategic Themes, SWOT, and MFM. Tracks individual and team contributions using scorecards, tactical tracking, etc. Works to streamline and focus individual and team processes.

Director

Contributes to the College’s mission fulfillment through excellence in their role as measured by their KPIs. Aligns their efforts to the College’s Mission Atlas elements: Strategic Themes, SWOT, and MFM. Brings transparency within their function and cross-functionally. Understands how their function performance maps to mission fulfillment. Works with managers to define relevant metrics and tracking. Responsibly utilizes resources toward mission fulfillment.

Senior Leadership

Contributes to the College’s mission fulfillment through excellence in their role as measured by their KPIs. Aligns their efforts to the College’s Mission Atlas elements: Strategic Themes, SWOT, and MFM. Aligns College priorities and resources to the realization of the Vision. Ensures alignment between functional efforts and College strategies. Ensures functions follow Mission Atlas, and allocates resources accordingly. Develops new, future-looking strategies based on changing landscape of healthcare, education, etc.

Skilled

  • Holds self, and others to the extent appropriate by role, to meeting performance expectations and KPIs.
  • Utilizes KPIs in 1:1 to provide coaching; utilizes KPIs in team meetings to provide motivation and focus.
  • Tracks and quantifies impact when introducing new initiatives.
  • Actively participates in, and engages team in, organizational planning cycles.
  • Shows fiscal responsibility for the scope of their functional oversight (eg. Looks for efficiencies, budgets strategically).
  • Reviews functional performance at least semesterly to identify effective tactics or new tactics.
  • Redirects direct reports efforts as soon as possible if not aligned with the mission or KPI’s

Less Skilled

  • Either does not have or does not use KPIs.
  • Does not follow or meet tactics/budget, etc.
  • Does not follow defined processes or workflows for function.
  • (Overused) Overlooks deviations from Pathway for high performers.
  • (Overused) Focuses on functional outcomes at the expense of other stakeholders.
  • (Overused) Insists upon performance at the expense of Building Community.
