Why do I get a blank screen when I click a Content link in D2L Brightspace when using Internet Explorer 9?

Show all content in IE browser

If you click a Content item in D2L Brightspace and you see a white screen but no content, the browser may be blocking the content from displaying. Click on the Show all content button at the bottom of the screen to display the content.

Windows 7 and Windows Vista

To enable secure content, follow these steps:

  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tool menu, click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab, and then click Custom level.
  4. In the Settings box, scroll down to the Miscellaneous section.
  5. Under Display mixed content, select from the following options:
    • Disable, will not display non-secure items.
    • Enable, will always display non-secure items without asking
    • Prompt, will prompt you when a webpage is using non-secure content
